A Celebration of Saint Mary Magdalene

On July 21 and 22, 2020 St. Mary Magdalene parishes from four different countries – Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States – participated in a worldwide celebration of St. Mary Magdalene on her Feast Day.

It was a blessing and a privilege to be able to meet with our fellow believers from around the world.  At a time where Covid-19 is creating havoc, this was a time to hear from our namesakes, to listen to how they are dealing with the crisis, and to fellowship in a new way.

It was noted that we were the only church where the 15 or so of us gathered as a group - in the church building. All the others (on the 22nd) met as ones or twos, practicing social distancing. Please keep the parishes listed in the directory in your prayers as they cope and continue in the mission set for all of us.

A directory of the churches who were able to participate at this event, is included in a directory put together by Ann Regimbal - who had the idea to celebrate our patroness.

We offer our thanks for all the work she did for this event.  Who knows - maybe it will happen again in better worldwide circumstances.
